Mission Statement

Monica Garcia, MS RDN CLT is a board-certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and a Certified Leap Therapist (CLT) on a mission to help as many people as possible reach their goals through food and nutrition.

Having a daughter with moderate ADHD has helped me realize my passion for helping other families improve their lives through nutrition.  Having identified her trigger foods and nutritional deficiencies that were affecting her behavior, the ADHD Nutrition Program has helped us navigate towards a more happy and peaceful family dynamic. It helped me realize that so much can be done when the proper nutrition is applied in meaningful ways.

Personal Story

After having spent years in structural engineering, Monica re-dedicated her life to health and wellness in 2000, and presently focuses specifically on providing her patients with personalized nutrition solutions designed to combat identified food sensitivities and nutrient deficiencies. She enjoys providing her patients with transformative information on diet, food trends, supplement reviews, healthy recipes, and nutrition’s overall impact on health and disease.

Her passion for structural transformation in nutrition developed while working as an engineer where she served as partner. She became a vegetarian in 2000 after learning about the benefits of eating less animal products. In 2005, she opened her own gym in Miami, Florida called The Body Shop Personal Training. The state-of-the-art facility she opened offered totally private one-on-one sessions with highly skilled personal trainers. She attained certification for a Specialist in Nutrition Performance from ISSA in addition to becoming a certified personal trainer with NCSF. She worked as a counselor for weight-loss, diabetes education and medical nutrition therapy, eventually uncovering her passion point for food sensitivity solution development and nutrient deficiencies.

Her structural background in engineering and experience with personalized fitness solutions continues to serve in lockstep with Monica’s building blocks and foundational process for her patients. She provides her patients peer-reviewed, science-based solutions to help her clients reach their optimum personal health.

Monica is a happily married mom with 2 beautiful daughters and a very delightful dog where she currently resides in Manhattan, New York and Miami, Florida. She enjoys cooking (most days) and is always trying out new healthy recipes to find the next great dish to serve to her family.
